Common name: Bird's Foot Violet
This early blooming violet is a small, slow growing plant, and is a bit harder to grow that many of the other native violets. Growing no more than 6 inches tall and wide, it is great used in groups as a ground cover or for a unique addition to the front of beds or borders. It will only spread by seed, and only when conditions are ideal. Attracts both bees and butterflies.
