Viburnum opulus var. americanum
Common name: American Cranberry
White flowers bloom in late May. Fruit is supposedly edible. I’ll let you decide! Birds eat the fruit in late winter, if at all. Whether edible or not, the scarlet-red clusters are definitely pleasing to the eye. Does well in good garden soil with full sun to light shade but is not drought-tolerant.
Synonym: Viburnum trilobum
