Spiraea alba
Common name: Meadowsweet
Found in wet areas I have frequently seen Meadowsweet in standing water. Does well in good garden soil. The cone-shaped white flower clusters bloom in June. If the plant gets out of control, it can be cut to the ground in March and still bloom on the new wood that year.
