If you are walking a prairie restoration, it is likely that you will see this grass almost everywhere you look. It stands 6 to 7 feet tall and form seas of waving beauty that can make people stop and stare a while. It can be aggressive from seed and should not be planted in small gardens with limited space. The fall color is a golden yellow. Great plant for for erosion control on sites that are not steep.
