Native plant

Wool grass is another in the pantheon of the Scirpus complex. Reaching 4 or 5 foot in height, this plant, like others in the genus, thrives in moist and wet areas with standing water for parts of the year, if not all year. The seed heads on this plant are large, held close to the stem and are reddish in color.
