Showy Black-Eyed Susan is a common prairie plant.  It has large, showy, yellow flowers, each 3 to 4 inches across, with several blooms branching out at the top of each plant.  Bloom time is mid summer and lasts for up to 3 months.  Longer bloom times can be achieved by deadheading.  This plant gives its best flower displays if planted in full sun and in small groups.  It attracts a wide range of pollinators.
