Native plant

Lion's Foot is one of the few late flowering woodland species.  Long central stems end in panicles of flowers that spread up to 2 feet long and 1 foot across. Flowers are white to pale purple and bloom late summer to early fall.  Their nectar is a favorite of bumblebees.
