Oligoneuron riddellii
Common name: Riddell's Goldenrod
Riddell's Goldenrod is a shorter goldenrod that is a bit better behaved than some of the more aggressive of the species. Its flowers are bright yellow, arranged in small panicles on top of a central stalk. It blooms in early fall, lasting about 3 weeks. Deadheading can increase bloom time. Flowers attract a wide range of bees and butterflies looking for the last bits of pollen and nectar of the season.
