Hibiscus laevis

Common name: Rose Mallow

Native plant

Rose Mallow likes it wet and sunny!  3-inch pink flowers with maroon centers bloom mid to late summer.  Bloom time lasts about a month, however each individual flower only lasts about a day.  Flowers attract a range of butterflies and bees. A tall, stiff, upright growing plant, it is a great choice for the back of cottage gardens or along waterways.  Flowers need full sun to bloom and plant will wilt under dry conditions.
