Common name: Purple Love Grass
Purple Love Grass is a clump forming grass with inflorescence that looks like an explosion of fireworks of pinks and purples. Bloom time is late summer to early fall. This plant does well in dry to well-drain, nutrient poor soils. Great choice for disturbed areas. This plant can spread by rhizomes, forming colonies, and mature inflorescence have a tendency to break off and tumble around, distributing seed.
