Dryopteris goldieana
Common name: Goldie's Wood Fern
This is one of the largest of the native wood ferns, reaching up to 4' in ideal conditions. It is a slowly spreading groundcover eventually forming large clusters of graceful arching fronds. Dryopteris goldieana prefers moist, rich, well-drained soils in full to partial shade. Needs protection from wind. Best planted in masses in the shaded or woodland garden.
