Carex radiata
Common name: Star Sedge
This is another sedge that is great for savanna and woodland habitats. It has a clumping growth habit, forming dense mats that fall over from the center as it reaches maximum height. It is nearly indistiguishable from the Curly-Styled Wood Sedge (Carex rosea) having slightly more spread out seed heads.
