Camassia scilloides
Common name: Wild Hyacinth
This plant emerges in early spring with long, grass-like dark green leaves. A single stem terminates in a beautiful raceme of white to purple flowers with bright yellow anthers that bloom from top to bottom, lasting 2-3 weeks. Planted in small stands, they offer a grand floral display in late spring to early summer. Although it is slow to develop, once established, it is long lasting.
