Caltha palustris
Common name: Marsh Marigold
A small, nearly prostrate-growing plant with classic, bright yellow buttercup flowers. Its shiny, rounded heart-shaped, dark green leaves are a delight, even when not in bloom. It attracts many pollinators, with primary visitors being bees and flies. This plant prefers part shade, and must have adequate moisture if placed in full sun. In the right conditions, it will form small colonies.
