Boltonia asteroides
Common name: False Aster
The amount of flowers this plant produces is astounding! The white, classic daisy-like flowers so thoroughly cover this plant when in bloom, you can barely see the green of the foliage. Beware, however, that these flowers do give way to seeds, and it can spread agressively if not deadheaded. The flowers provide a food source for many pollinators, including bees, butterflies, moths and beetles. Prefers wetter conditions and tolerates clay soils.
