Take a sprig and chew with confidence that your aroma has improved. A birch from further east that tends to like moist but well-drained slopes and soils. It is much more of a tree that the others in the "sweet" birch group, with heavier limbs and higher canopy. Great for yards with moist(ish) soils that need a secondary shade tree but not a primary.
