Baptisia sphaerocarpa
Common name: Large Yellow Indigo
Upright, bushy growth habit with terminal, abundant racemes of large, bright yellow flowers. Seed pods are round, marble-sized and showy in their own right. Leaves are much larger than other Baptisia species and offer great texture in the garden. This plant is nitrogen fixing and drought tolerant, making it a good choice for poor condition soils.
