Athyrium filix-femina
Common name: Lady Fern
Lady Fern is strong-growing and dependable. It is delicate and lacy with arching fronds and dark red stems at maturity. This hardy fern is the right choice for perennial borders and woodlands. A flush of new fronds appears in the spring, with new leaves appearing throughout the growing season for a continuously fresh look. Prefers moist, well-drained, acid soils in full to partial shade. This fern can be more tolerant of full sun if adequate moisture is provided. Needs some protection from harsh winds.
Also available in quarts.
