Asclepias verticillata

Common name: Whorled Milkweed

Native plant

The daintiest of the Milkweeds we offer, this plant has very thin, dark green, lance-shaped leaves with small umbels of white flowers occurring in the upper axils in whorls of 3-6 per node.  Perfect for drier areas with a bit of room to move as it will spread by both seed and rhizomes.  Excellent for pollinator gardens as it is a host to a wide range of bees, butterflies, moths and beetles.
