Prairie Willow Salix humilisOne of very few upland willow species. Very much at home in our native prairies. S. humilis leaves, unlike many willow, have a wavey or crinkled edge that gives the impression that they twirl in the wind. they also make for popular scouting spots above the grasses for many of the birds that reside in our open areas.
