Ribes americanumA wonderful choice for moist, light shade. Soft foliage and no thorns makes it great for around patios and along walks. As with all Ribes species the flower display is rather nice and can bring in some interesting inscets, but its the fruit that really attraches the animals. I someone is interested in trying the fruit let us know if your tongue ever recovers. Its best if it is used in preserves. Nice light yellow fall color display.
