Kalm's St. John's Wort Hypericum kalmianumWell drained sand or similar soil is a must for this plant. I have only seen this plant near interdunal pools on calcareous sand. It seems to do very well on our heavy clay soil as long as it is in full sun. Beautiful yellow flowers at the end of June, early July. A very nice plant to be used in masses in front of taller plants.
