Learn the process of germinating seeds successfully, as well as propagating from cuttings. Start the morning out with a introduction to and tour of the nursery with Connor Shaw. You will then spend half of your morning working with Connor, propagating woody plants from oak trees to hydrangeas and the other half will be spent with our propagator, Lorrie Cerkvenik, who will take you through all the steps necessary to grow your own perennials from seed. Wear appropriate clothing, as this is a hands-on experience and one that you won’t soon forget! You will be taking home a flat of herbaceous and a flat of woody plant material.
This very popular class has been offered in the past through the Morton Arboretum and usually fills quickly. Please register early by contacting Possibility Place Nursery at 708.534.3988.
