Eastern Prickly Pear Opuntia humifusaEastern Prickly Pear grows in sandy, gravely sites. It will probably grow in a raised bed with well-drained soil. The flower is yellow and 4" in diameter. Red fruits are produced and are edible as are the pads if you are really careful (no kidding!).
